Maderoterapia (Wood Therapy)
Wood therapy originated in Eastern culture a few thousand years ago, where wood was used in the treatment of muscular pain. Nowadays, science supports the idea that wood is beneficial for our health due to its chemical composition.
Wood therapy is a massage technique that utilises anatomically-designed wooden instruments, such as rolling pins and vacuum-suction cups, to break down fat and cellulite. Wood therapy is a non-invasive treatment, undertaken by a qualified therapist, designed specifically to eliminate excess body fat.
Areas such as legs, buttocks, abdomen, waist, back and arms are often target areas for wood therapy, where pressure is applied to break down and eliminate fatty deposits.
As well as fat and cellulite treatment, wood therapy can help to:
- Speed up your metabolism
- Stimulate lymphatic drainage
- Eliminate toxins from your body
- Loosen tight muscles
I have to say, I had no idea what to expect from the maderoterapia treatment – but it exceeded my expectations! After only three sessions the constant lumps on my top thigh considerably reduced and I recognised a huge difference around my thighs, front and back. I’m so happy I started this treatment. Thanks so much Pat for introducing me to this!
